Hello, World!

LET me see now, how'd Ging Cardinoza, the guy who's Off-The-Air but In-Print ever got me interested in blogging (there's that word again), thus keeping my already tight leisure hours even tighter?
At past my prime (though still very much on the go –oh, how so very defensive!), I should already be simply wielding the blue pencil in my editorial desk and barking orders to staff to get that news fast and accurate (which is what I'm actually doing even as I write this) and not hunched infront of this infernal Bill Gates' plaything waiting for my writing muses to come and bring forth the inspiration.
I should in fact be taking my sweet time playing cutesy with my two apos (grandchildren), Chumy and Jasmyne, and not be in competition with Ging and the rest of the bloody, blogging gang for the most number of posts in the internet (and the better, wider read posts too) even as the rest of Filipinos are out there whooping like Indian braves for the scalping of the Mexican Morales by their own local Pinoy Geronimo named Manny Pacquiao.
But surely, I am starting to enjoy this newfound preoccupation. And not just because I truly love writing to the faceless humanity out there but also because it is, pardon the cliche, broadening my horizons about the many potentials of cyberspace communication. Absent Ging, and absent all the other technical geeks, er, guys helping make The Pangasinan Star Onlne what it is today in the blogsite ranking, I'd probably be just sitting in the newsroom at deadline waiting for the columnists' and correspondents' news to come in and at some point, start editing their copies before sending them off to the layout guy to start decorating the Star pages with.
Just say I'm trying to beat boredom –and attempting to scale newfound heights of pride and conceit. It can get quite exhilirating, you know.
More posts soon.
